Hang with Vince and Lyle” A Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP client appreciation event held November 3, 2006. Five hundred guests attended a private, pre-exhibit viewing of Van Gogh’s “Sheeves of Wheat” exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art followed by a private concert with country music icon Lyle Lovett and His Large Band.

“Paint the Night Blue” A Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP client appreciation event held November 2, 2007.  Five hundred guests attended a private concert with R&B superstar Natalie Cole along with improvisational performance artist/painter Dan Dunn. The event, themed on the legendary Blue NoteClub, was held at downtown Houston’s iconic restoration project, The Corinthian.

Client Appreciation Event – “Jump Jive Live” with The Brian Setzer Orchestra

“Jump Jive Live” with The Brian Setzer Orchestra A Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP client appreciation event held October 24, 2008.  Five hundred guests attended a private concert with rock and roll legend Brian Setzer and his Orchestra. The music-fueled 1940s style meets 21st Century cool event was held at Dallas’ Frontiers of Flight Museum.

Countdown to Grapevine, National LMA Conference Teaser Video Series

As a sponsor of the national conference of the Legal Marketing Association and as the president of the newly created Texas Chapter of the LMA, I created a nine-part series of “teasers” to promote and welcome the attendees of the upcoming conference by sharing with them little known statutes (actual and rumored) they should be familiar with before attending the conference.

Martin Luther King, Jr., Oratory Competition

The Martin Luther King, Jr., Oratory Competition was established by Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP in 1993 showcasing fourth and fifth grade students, from Dallas and Houston Independent School District elementary schools, who compose original speeches incorporating the ideals and spirit of Dr. King’s writings, speeches, and other records. The speeches were based on a thematic question about Dr. King and presented by memory by each student. For nearly a decade, my role in this event consisted of expanding the event to include more schools and a greater partnership with the school districts involved. This team effort was very successful and has continued as part of the firm’s outreach beyond its 2018 merger with Foley & Lardner LLP.

WRR’s 50th Anniversary CD-ROM with Sony Music

WRR’s 50th Anniversary CD-ROM was an award-wining collection of classical music including a video history of the nation’s second oldest licensed radio station. Webb led writing of script and co-produced the video segments. Promotion and public relations efforts related to the project earned a “Best of Texas” Award from Texas Public Relations Association and received five “OMNI Intermedia” awards for interactive communications.

WRR’s “Smart Babies” CD with Sony Music

WRR’s Smart Babies CD was an award-winning, project conducted in collaboration with Sony Music comprised of a collection of classical music based on the popular “Mozart Effect.” Numerous media events were held at DFW hospitals and copies of the CD were delivered at no cost to every mother delivering a child at five Dallas/Fort Worth regional hospitals during the month of April 2000. Promotion and public relations efforts related to the project earned a “Best of Texas Award” from Texas Public Relations Association; “Bronze Quill” from the International Association of Business Communicators; and “Creativity in Public Relations Award”, Reputation Management/Inside PR Magazine.

An interactive CD-ROM “Sneak Preview” of the exhibits featured in Dallas’ new Women’s Museum. Delivered in advance as a teaser with private invitations to the grand opening event in September 2000, WRR and the City of Dallas, were among the official sponsors of the event. Focused on the “Notable Women of Classical Music” The CD contained interactive exhibits and music by singers, composers and other women pioneers in classical music.
